The Global Reporting Guidelines (GRI) were launched in 1997, and already in 2006 the G3-version of the Guidelines was presented. During recent years, there has been a tremendously increasing interest in reporting in accordance with these Guidelines. But the Guidelines are not a reporting framework only; they also represent a practical, useful process/model for how to work with sustainable development, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as well as with the integration of economic, environmental and social aspects within the daily activities of the operations. Today, the work with sustainable development is a natural part of Corporate Governance, as well as a part of enhancing the brand, creating added value and - it is profitable! Stakeholders identification and dialogue is the basis for structured and effective internal and external communications, together with transparency and accountability.
The workshop will focus on the business case and the added value of communicating sustainable development/CSR work in enterprises and organizations.
