Biography

Professor Dennis Driscoll is the Co-Director of the newly-established Corporate Social Responsibility Research Centre at Peking University Law School. He has taught at Peking University since 2004. From 1985-1991, he was the Dean of the Law School at the National University of Ireland (Galway) and later he was the Legal Adviser to the Irish Foreign Ministry. He has also been a visiting professor at Cornell University and Harvard University. For the past few years, Professor Driscoll has been training Chinese companies and also Western companies on aspects of CSR. At the present time, he has given training to over 500 Chinese companies on a whole range of CSR issues: from labour rights to environmental concerns, from corporate philanthropy to corporate governance to ethical business practices such as avoiding corrupt business payments. He is the author of Peking University’s forthcoming study, Corporate Social Responsibility in China.
