Biography
Mr. Dipal Barua is one of the co builders of Grameen Bank and currently Deputy Managing Director of the Bank. He has spent more than 30 years with Nobel Laureate Professor Yunus from the beginning of Grameen Bank, to serve the needs of the rural people through microcredit. He is also the Founding Managing Director of the Right Livelihood Award (alternative Nobel prize) winning organization Grameen Shakti which is being replicated in Bangladesh and elsewhere as a Sustainable Model for promoting renewable energy to the rural people.
