Biography
Michael M. Wood has been the U.S. Ambassador to Sweden since June 2006. In September 2006, he announced that his top priority as Ambassador would be to promote cooperation between the U.S. and Sweden in the area of alternative energy technology. During his time in Sweden, Ambassador Wood has traveled extensively throughout the country to identify promising alternative energy research and innovation that may benefit from cooperation with U.S. institutions. Ambassador Wood is the former CEO of Hanley Wood, LLC, the leading media company in the American housing and construction industry and one of the ten largest business-to-business media companies in the U.S.
