Biography
Lars. G Hassel was granted his doctor’s degree in accounting at Åbo Akademi University in 1992 where he also holds a professorship in accounting. Lars also serves as Öhrlings PricewaterhouseCoopers’ visiting Professor of Accounting at Umeå School of Business, where he leads a research program on responsible investments, corporate sustainability management and sustainability reporting. This research is financed by Mistra, the Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research. Hassel has published his research in, amongst other publications, the European Accounting Review, The International Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Performance Evaluation, and The Journal of International Accounting Research, Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting.
