Biography
Carl Sturén is Managing Director of Chumak, a company in Southern Ukraine, which will celebrate its 12th anniversary this year. Chumak has played a significant role in the “turn around” of Ukrainian vegetable farming, developing packaging and the food processing industry. The company has been the first to introduce hybrid tomatoes, seedlings, drip irrigation, twist off standard glass in Ukraine and overall developing an international standard food industry in Ukraine. Furthermore, Chumak is a proud producer to McDonald’s restaurants in Ukraine and Russia. Carl Sturén is also Honourable Consul for Sweden in Ukraine.
