Biography
Empedocle Maffia is Special Advisor for Environment and Strategic Communication to the Executive Director at the World Bank. He is an associate at KSG of Harvard, and member of the Scientific Committee of the World Political Forum. Before his current assignments, he has been Director of the New Italy Project at the Center for Strategic & International Studies in Washington. From 1978 to 1996, he was Special Correspondent for RAI, the Italian radio-TV public network. Mr. Maffia is a former Fulbright Scholar. He is the author of several books on USA, International Policy and Development.
