Biography
Jan Peter "JP" Bergkvist, who has 30 years' experience in the hotel industry, came to Scandic in 1996 as part of the acquisition of Reso Hotels. In the 90s, Jan Peter also worked as Environmental Coordinator for Reso alongside his job as general manager. In 2000, he was made Director Corporate Social Responsibility, Safety and Security for Scandic and then in April 2003 he became Environmental Director for Hilton International. Since the start of 2007, he has been back with us full time as head of all aspects of Scandic's sustainability work. During his time at Scandic, Jan Peter Bergkvist has seen the chain win several prestigious awards for its focus on environmental and sustainability work.
