Biography
Dr Chris Preist is Principal Scientist and head of the European team in the newly formed Sustainable IT Ecosystem Lab in HP Labs. During 2007, Chris was lead researcher on the Climate Futures activity there, looking at the strategic impact of climate change on business. Prior to that, he has conducted research in HP Labs on artificial intelligence, automated diagnosis, agent-mediated e-commerce and the semantic web. He holds a degree in Pure Maths from University of Warwick, and a Ph.D. in Logic Programming from Imperial College, London. He is Non Executive Director of the Environmental charity Green Light Trust. He lives in Bristol with his wife, Ilsa, and two children.
